I realised I do have something a bit like that in my wardrobe – it’s my soft, soft, soft baby pink ballerina dress by West Australian pseudo sleepwear label Flannel. I love it to bits and that is only partially because I love all things ballerina (my husband can confirm I still pirouette around the house as though I am five and in a tutu and matching scrunchie). I couldn’t find a photo of my dress – it is an uber pale pink with a singlet scoop neck top half and a gently ruffled (note: not ra-ra) bottom half which sits just high enough above the knee to look sexy-cute not toddler-cute (I hope). It feels so soft and I would sleep in it if I was not afraid of it wrinkling and getting sweaty. I love it so much I’ve dedicated 143 words to it. Flannel have gorgeous art direction too- in my search of a picture of my ballerina dress I came across these pics from their website (I especially love the tiny flash of grey tracksuit fleece in the last one and how unexpectedly well it works with the ultra feminine white top):
To my readers out there – a question: what is your ballerina dress? What makes you feel snuggly yet sexy and eager to pirouette?

Oh I adore all of the pieces, they are so pretty.
My ballerina dress is a beautiful pale green silk chiffon multi-layered George dress with a cut-out back and A-line skirt. It is amazing.
